Thomas Lee, President

Air Rainier’s President, Tom Lee, has spent his entire aviation career in General Aviation, beginning as a lineman then progressing the usual path of flight instructor, freight pilot, and finally forming Air Rainier to delve into the on-demand charter world and aircraft management. Along the way, he spent 15 years as an Air Traffic Control Specialist in both the enroute Center and terminal (radar control and tower) specialities.

He has experience flying a multitude of light airplanes, both single and multi-engine, as well as corporate turboprop and jet airplanes.

Tom has earned an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (ATP) for single and multi-engine wheeled planes and multi-engine seaplanes, as well as a Commercial Certificate for single-engine seaplanes and helicopters.  He also is a Certified Flight Instructor for airplanes and has C650 and C500 jet type ratings. It was during the time spent conducting on-demand charter operations that Air Rainier discovered the best way to differentiate themselves from the plethora of other operators was to offer the superior service of a “can do” attitude. This mission first attitude is what sets us apart and keeps customers satisfied.

Nathan Lee, Pilot

After high school, Nathan joined the U.S. Army as an Airborne Infantryman. He served for 8 years achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant, and among other accomplishments is a graduate of both Recon/Surveillance Leadership Course and the U.S. Army Ranger School at Ft. Benning GA. Having always loved flying, he decided to leave the military and pursue a career in aviation.

Nathan has earned his Airline Transport Pilot rating in multi-engine airplanes, has a commercial certificate in both single engine airplanes and Helicopters, and holds a FAA Type Rating in the Cessna Citation business jet (CE-500). He has significant experience in the Beechcraft King Air family of turboprop aircraft, and currently flies the King Air 200, PC12 Pilatus, and a Citation 501 Super Stallion. When not flying he can be found riding his Harley, fishing with his kids, or smoking a 16lb brisket for a big family BBQ.
